Our history
With a heritage rooted in renowned companies such as Racal Instruments, Telefunken Deutschland, Aérospatiale Avionique, and Sextant Avionique, Spherea Group’s technical expertise is built on a legacy of innovation spanning decades.
1950s
Foundation of Racal Instruments (the origin of Spherea UK)
1953
Germany builds a new TELEFUNKEN factory and research center dedicated to RF activities in Ulm, which later evolves into Spherea Germany
1965
First ATEC® delivery for CONCORDE and the MIRAGE F1
1996
Test entities of aérospatiales avions, missiles and sextant avionique are grouped together to support Rafale and the Leclerc tank
1999
SESAR 3000 D2G Program – Operational Test of the Army Systems’ Data Links
2000
SESAR 3000 Installation of the first test bench on the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to support the Rafale
2006
Acquisition of GET Electronique, specialised in obsolence management and electronic systems

First big energy project for EDF
